OFFICIAL RULES (the “Official Rules”)
OFFICIAL RULES. NO PURCHASE/POINTS NECESSARY TO ENTER THE CONTEST.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE
ONE’S CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE
OR OLDER TO ENTER.
1. CONTEST DESCRIPTION: This Contest is designed to give entrants (“Entrants”) the
opportunity to submit their best THE WALKING DEAD inspired pose for a chance to be a
character in THE WALKING DEAD “Our World” game. The eligible “Submissions” (as defined
below) will be received by the Sponsor. The result of the judging by a panel of judges set up by
the Sponsor will determine the three (3) winners of the Grand Prize. Some of the entries may be
posted online in the website of the Contest as well as on the Social Media channels of the
Sponsor or AMC.
2. SPONSOR: Next Games Corporation (“Sponsor”), Aleksanterinkatu 9 A, 00100 Helsinki,
FINLAND is solely responsible for all aspects of this Contest.
3. ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open for individuals who are who are eighteen (18) years of
age or older at the time of entry (July 8 – July 31, 2019). Employees, officers, directors and agents
of Sponsor, AMC Network Entertainment LLC (“AMC”), and any of Sponsor’s or AMC’s
respective parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies, advertising and promotion
agencies (“Contest Entities”) as well as their immediate family members (defined as parents,
children, siblings and spouses, regardless of where they live) and those with whom such
individuals are domiciled (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate or win. By entering,
you agree to these Official Rules and the decision of Sponsor, which are final and binding in all
For purposes of these Rules, all times and days are Eastern Time (“ET”). Sponsor’s computer
is the official time keeping device for this Contest; and the awarding of any prize is subject to the
eligibility and forfeiture provisions set forth herein. The times set forth below are subject to
change in Sponsor’s sole discretion. In the event of any change, notice of the revised date or
time will be posted on Website. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service will apply. It is your sole responsibility to notify the Sponsor if you, as an Entrant (as
defined in section 3 below), change your email address (“Address”).
NOTICE TO ALL INTERNATIONAL ENTRANTS: It is the sole responsibility of the Entrant to
comply with any applicable laws of their Country, State or Jurisdiction. The Entrant
acknowledges that certain Countries, States or Jurisdictions may have laws that prevent the
Sponsor from awarding the Prize to the Winner. By entering the Contest, Entrants agree to follow
all the applicable laws of the jurisdiction they are subject to, and agree to hold the Sponsor
harmless should the Sponsor be unable to provide the Prize. The Entrants also understand that
the Sponsor is not responsible for any taxes, administrative fees or any other charges the Winner
may have the obligation to pay. The Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4 . HOW TO ENTER: This Contest begins at 05:00am Eastern Time (“ET”) on July 8 and
ends at 11:59pm ET on July 31 (the “Contest Period”). To enter, between 05:00am ET on
July 8 and 11:59pm ET on July 31 (the “Entry Period”) visit www.thewalkingdeadourworld.com
(“Website”) and follow the instructions within these Rules and posted on the Website to create
make a submission. Entrants must submit one (1) video (.mp4 or .mov, max 128MB) that reflects
your best hero pose inspired by THE WALKING DEAD (each a “Submission” and collectively,
the “Submissions”). Only Submissions received during the Entry Period will be eligible. Each
Submission must conform to the Entry Requirements set forth below. By entering the Contest
each Entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules. Incomplete Submission will be disqualified.
Section 7 for more details on the use of THE WALKING DEAD intellectual property (“TWD IP”).
By entering the Contest, Entrants understand that all Submissions may be posted on-line on
www.thewalkingdeadourworld.com and the Sponsor’s or AMC’s Social Media Channels such
as Instagram and Facebook among others for viewing and otherwise used by Sponsor and its
designees as otherwise set forth herein. All Submissions will be reviewed by Sponsor prior to
posting. Sponsor does not guarantee the posting of any Submission and reserves the right to
not post any Submission for any or no reason including, without limitation, if Sponsor deems in
its sole discretion the Submission is inappropriate or does not conform to these Official Rules.
Sponsor will not notify Entrants whether their Submissions have been approved or denied.
Retain a copy of your Submission in its original format after uploading it. If you are a winner,
you may need to provide Sponsor with your Submission in its original format. The winner(s)
may also be required to provide to the Sponsor additional photographs of their person so that
the Sponsor is able to implement them in the game as characters. Failure to follow these
requirements may result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner.
5. LIMITATION: Entrants may only enter one (1) Submission during the Entry Period.
One person may not upload the same Submission more than once and multiple Submissions
from the same person via one or more accounts will be disqualified. Any attempt by any Entrant
to obtain more than the stated number of entries by using multiple/different email addresses,
identities, registrations and logins or any other methods will void the Entrant’s Submission and
that Entrant may be disqualified in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Use of any automated system to
participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. In the event of a dispute as to the
identity of any person who submitted a Submission, the authorized account holder of the email
address used to enter will be deemed to be the Entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the
natural person assigned an email address or social media account by an Internet access
provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email
addresses or social media accounts for the domain associated with the submitted address.
Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
6. DO’s & DON’Ts
• Do protect your privacy
• Please avoid full names or other personal information in your Entry.
• Do be original. Feel free to put your own spin on THE WALKING DEAD franchise.
• Have fun!
• Don’t include any names and/or likenesses of any person in the Submission without first
obtaining written permission from such person, other than those associated with THE
WALKING DEAD. You will be responsible for getting written permission from any person
included in your Submission.
• Don’t be rude or use profanities, obscenities or bad, vulgar or offensive language.
• Don’t use crude or offensive pictures, signs, symbols or gestures.
• Don’t show actual violence, nudity, sexual activity or drug use.
• Don’t use any derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious
• Don’t use unauthorized trademarks or copyrighted materials.
• Don’t show any external websites or links to websites.
• For your safety, don’t try any risky moves.
• Don’t send Submissions that are too big or the wrong format. Submissions must be on
a video format and less than 128MB in file size.
7. CONTEST ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: All Entries must meet the following requirements
and specifications to be eligible:
a. The Entry must be authorized. This means that you must have the legal right and
any and all permissions necessary to submit the Entry into the Contest. By submitting
the Entry, you hereby represent that you have all rights necessary to distribute the
Entry through the Website or any other website and to grant to Sponsor the rights set
b. With the exception of any TWD IP you may use, the Entry must be your original work
and must not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or any other
intellectual property right of any person or entity.
c. The Entry must meet all specifications set forth by Sponsor in these Rules, including,
without limitation, Format and Size, and those specifications described in the Rules.
d. The Entry must not, in the sole discretion of Sponsor, contain any inappropriate
content including but not limited to, material which is (or promotes activities which are)
abusive, harassing, threatening, an invasion of a right of privacy of another person,
bigoted, hateful, racially offensive, discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, national
origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), violent (e.g., relating to murder,
the sales of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), vulgar, obscene, pornographic or otherwise
sexually explicit, harmful or can reasonably be expected to harm any person or entity,
profane, offensive or otherwise objectionable as determined by Sponsor in its sole
discretion; must not contain material which is (or promote activities which are) illegal
or encourage or advocate illegal activity or the discussion of illegal activities with the
intent to commit them (including Entries that are, or represent an attempt to engage in,
child pornography, stalking, sexual assault, fraud, trafficking in obscene or stolen
material, underage drinking, drug dealing and/or drug abuse, harassment, computer
hacking, theft, or conspiracy to commit any criminal activity) or otherwise unlawful. The
Entry must not violate these Rules or the Terms.
e. The Entry must not disparage the Entities.
f. With the exception of any TWD IP you use in your Entry, you represent and warrant
that: (i) you are the sole and exclusive creator and owner of the Entry, and all rights
thereto; (ii) you have the full and exclusive right, power and authority to submit the
Entry to Sponsor upon the terms and conditions set forth herein; (iii) the Entry has not
been previously published nor has it received any previous awards and/or prizes; (iv)
no rights in the Entry have previously been granted to any person, firm, corporation or
other entity or otherwise exercised or exploited; and (v) the full use of the Entry or any
part thereof will not in any way violate or infringe upon any copyright (statutory or
otherwise), constitute a libel or defamation of or an invasion of the rights of privacy or
publicity of, or otherwise violate or infringe upon any other personal, property or other
rights of any person, firm, corporation or other entity or subject Sponsor to any costs
or liability of any kind or nature whatsoever.
g. Any Entry that fails to meet Sponsor’s specifications may be disqualified. All Entries
must be received during the Entry Period. In the event that the same Entry is received
from more than one (1) Entrant, only the first Entry received will be accepted. Any Entry
received after the applicable Entry Period will be disqualified. Proof of submitting an
Entry does not constitute proof of receipt or entry into the Contest.
h. You are responsible for, and must have obtained, prior, written approval from any
identifiable person (or such person’s parent or legal guardian (“Parent”) if such person
is a minor as defined by your state of residence (“Minor”)) that appears in, is mentioned
in, or otherwise contributed to the Entry (each a “Third-Party Participant”) for you to
include such person in the Entry. By entering, you represent and warrant that you have
obtained such permission and all other necessary authorizations from any Third-Party
Participant (or such Third-Party Participant’s Parent if Third-Party Participant is a
Minor) allowing use of such person’s name, likeness or contribution in the Entry, and
you and each Third-Party Participant (or such Third-Party Participant’s Parent if ThirdParty Participant is a Minor) agree to and do hereby assign all rights for usage to
Sponsor. You may be required, at any time, to provide Sponsor with evidence of all
such written permission(s) and authorizations immediately upon request, or you may
be disqualified and rendered ineligible to receive a prize in this Contest.
8. SPONSOR’S RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY: Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and
unfettered discretion to disqualify any Submission for any reason, including but not limited to a
violation or potential violation of any of the foregoing requirements or a failure to comply with
any provision of these Official Rules. The decisions of Sponsor on this and all matters pertaining
to the Contest shall be final and binding.
Entrants agree to indemnify and hold Sponsor harmless from and against any suits, claims,
losses, damages and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees that it may sustain from
any breach of a representation or warranty made by the Entrant or the use of any rights
granted by the Entrant to Sponsor hereunder.
9. JUDGING/RUNNERS-UP PRIZE WINNER SELECTION: Beginning on August 1, 2019,
the Sponsor assemble a panel of judges comprising of the employees of the Sponsor as well as
those of AMC. The judging will take place from August 1, 2019 until August 15, 2019 after which
the winners of the Grand Prize are announced (“Judging Phase”).
10. PRIZE WINNER SELECTION: The panel of judges set up by the Sponsor will select,
amongst all eligible entries to the Contest, the three (3) entries that will win the Grand Prize
based on the following criteria (A) creativity 30% (B) originality 30% (C) consistency with THE
WALKING DEAD brand 40%. The decisions of these judges are final and binding. In the event
of a tie between any eligible entries, the tie will be broken by an additional judge who will judge
the tied entries based on the criteria listed above. The winners will be contacted by e-mail by
August 31, 2019. Please check your e-mail and spam filters. Only the winners will be contacted
after the judging period and winner selection.
If a finalist and/or Winner fails to respond within five (5) days of notification or if the notification
is consistently returned as undeliverable or fails to reach the potential winner for any reason
or if the finalist and/or Winner fails to respond for any reason to the notification as directed, the
finalist and/or Winner will forfeit the Prize. As a condition of receiving a Prize, the finalist
and/or Winner may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability
Release, and, except where prohibited, a Publicity Release, on or before the date stated on the
11. PRIZE; APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE; ODDS OF WINNING: Three (3) Grand
Prize Winners will be selected, and their likeness is used to create a character in the game
THE WALKING DEAD “Our World” (Prize has no retail value). The Winners will also receive a
4-day pass to the event “New York Comic Con” (retail value of the Prize approximately $190)
and a chance to meet some of the cast members of THE WALKING DEAD at the event. Sponsor
reserves the right to substitute a Prize for one of equal or greater value if a designatedPrize should
become unavailable for any reason or for any other reason in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor
makes no representations or warranties with respect to any Prize. One (1) Prize per person
and per household The Prize cannot be substituted for currency on request by the Winners.
Sponsor has no obligation to compensate any expenses that may occur from travel,
accommodation or any other costs related to the Prize by the Winners. TAXES ARE THE
SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNERS.
12. GRANT OF RIGHTS: By participating in the Contest, Entrant agrees to irrevocably
and exclusively grant to Sponsor all right, title and interest in and to the Submission, including,
without limitation, all copyright therein, and the right to perform, market, sell, distribute, produce,
reproduce, store, copy, transmit, exhibit, publish, post, edit, adapt, create derivative works from,
and otherwise use without limitation the Submission without any further consent
or compensation of any nature or kind, in whole or in part, in any manner and media
whatsoever (whether now known or hereafter devised) worldwide in perpetuity, whether as part
of the Series or otherwise, for any purpose whatsoever, including, without limitation, for the
purposes of advertising, promotion or publicity of the Series, or in connection with any
merchandising, packaging, subsidiary or ancillary rights, products or materials developed in
connection with the Series. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, Entrants agree that
the foregoing grant of rights includes but is not limited to the right of Sponsor to use
the Submission for any commercial or non-commercial purposes including, without limitation,
for publishing or use in connection with other merchandise without compensation, notice or
approval. Entrants agree to waive any and all copyright interest, of any nature or kind, they
may have in the Submission, including, without limitation, any moral rights in the foregoing.
Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, all Entrants grant Sponsor the right to publish
and display their Submissions online for the purposes of this Contest, including without the
limitation, the right to publish the Submissions on Web sites such as youtube.com,
facebook.com, twitter.com, instagram.com. Finalists further grant Sponsor a royalty-free,
worldwide, perpetual right and license to use, publish, post, display, prepare derivative works,
edit, alter, adapt, modify and otherwise exploit his or her Submission without any further consent
or compensation of any nature or kind, in whole or in part, in any manner or media whatsoever
(whether now known or hereafter devised) for any purpose whatsoever including, without
limitation, in and in connection with the production, distribution or exploitation of the Series
and/or for promotional or advertising purposes relating thereto. The use of the Submissions
after the Contest is complete for advertising and promotional purposes may or may not include
the Entrant’s name and country of residence. Winners agree to sign any documents that may
be necessary to affect the assignment of the foregoing rights.
13. PERSONAL INFORMATION; PUBLICITY. Sponsor is a legal entity established and
residing inside the European Union and is therefore subject to the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR). Upon entering the Contest, the Entrants will be asked to read through
The Sponsor will collect, use, and disclose the personal information you provide when you
enter the Contest for the purposes of administering the Contest and Prize fulfillment. By
participating in this Contest, the Contestant understands that he/she is manifestly making
their personal data publicly available on the internet via the Sponsor’s platform, and such data
may not be eligible for deletion by the Sponsor if requested. The Entrant hereby grants
Sponsor the right to use his/her name, image, picture, biographical information, statements,
voice and likeness for any publicity, advertising, trade or promotional purposes in any media
or format, whether now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to the internet,
at any time or times in perpetuity, without further compensation or notice.
14. RIGHT TO VOID / MODIFY / SUSPEND. Sponsor reserves the right to modify, cancel,
terminate or suspend this Contest, or these Official Rules, in whole or in part, at any time and
without notice or obligation if, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, any factor interferes with its proper
conduct as contemplated by these Official Rules. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing,
if the Contest, or any part thereof, is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including
but not limited to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud,
programming errors, or technical failures, earthquake, flood, fire, storm or other natural disaster,
act of God or labor controversy or threat thereof, civil disturbance or commotion, disruption of
the public markets, war or armed conflict (whether or not officially declared), which, in the sole
opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper
conduct of this Contest, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, void any suspect entries and: (a)
terminate the Contest, or any portion thereof; (b) modify or suspend the Contest, or any portion
thereof, to address the impairment and then resume the Contest, or relevant portion, in a
manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (c) award the Prize from
among the eligible, non-suspect Submissions received up to the time of the impairment in
accordance with the winner selection criteria discussed above.
15. RELEASE, WARRANTY, LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND
INDEMNIFICATION/CONDITIONS: You expressly understand and agree that: [a] You
hereby release and hold harmless the Contest Entities from any and all liability for claims,
demands, losses and liabilities, including, without limitation, for death and bodily injury,
resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from your participation in the Contest and/or
the use or acceptance of any Prize won; [b] YOUR USE OF THE WEBSITE AND
PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THIS CONTEST IS
PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. THE CONTEST ENTITIES
EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT; [c] You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Contest Entities from and against any and all claims, liabilities (including, but not limited to, attorneys’ and experts’ fees, costs and disbursements), demands and actions of every kind and nature, whether or not now known or suspected (collectively, “Claims”), arising out of or in connection with (i) your
participation in the Contest; (ii) any Entry submitted by you (including, but not limited to, any
and all Claims of third parties, whether or not groundless, based on the Entry of such material);
(iii) any posting by you on Sponsor’s Website; (iv) the use by Contest Entities of any of the
rights granted by you in connection with the Contest; and (v) any breach by you of any
warranty, agreement or representation contained in these Rules or Terms or in any
documentation submitted by you; [d] any and all Claims shall be resolved individually, without
resort to any form of class action.
16. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Participation in this Contest constitutes agreement by
document. Winning a prize is contingent on fulfilling all the requirements set forth herein. All
Submissions and prize claims are subject to verification. Proof of Submission does not
constitute proof of receipt. Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules. Contest is subject to
all applicable international, federal, state, and municipal laws. Void where prohibited. Sponsor
reserves the right to correct any typographical, printing, computer programming or operator
errors. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver
of that provision. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall
not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision of the Official Rules
is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, then the Official Rules shall be construed
in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained
therein. Should a winner make any false statement(s) in any document referenced above, the
winner will be required to promptly return to Sponsor his/her Prize, or the cash value thereof.
Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entrant that tampers with the entry process, violates
these Official Rules, is ineligible for any reason or acts in a disruptive or unsportsmanlike
manner. WARNING: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO
DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CONTEST OR
UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF
CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO PROSECUTE
AND SEEK DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
17. GOVERNING LAW. All disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected
with this contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form
of class action and in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Finland without regard to
principles of conflicts of law; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to
actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest, if any,
but in no event will entrant be entitled to receive attorneys’ fees or be entitled to recover punitive,
exemplary, incidental or consequential damages
18. WINNERS’ LIST: For a copy of the Rules and/or the names of the Winners, send a

HOW DO WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
In order to help ensure a secure and safe contestexperience, we are continuously developing and implementing administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access or against loss, misuse or alteration.
We retain your data for as long as the Contest is running. After the Contest ends, we will delete the non-winning entries. We will retain the personal data of the winners for as long as we have a justified reason to use it (such as communication with the winners).
After the Contest ends, we will use our best efforts to remove the entries made publicly available, but because of the global nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee that there will not be any copies of the entry available somewhere.
Note that if you ask us to remove your personal data, we will retain your data as necessary for our legitimate business interests, such as to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
This Contest is aimed to individuals over the age of 18. We will delete entries made by individuals clearly under the age of 18. We will also reserve the right to ask for identification should we suspect that an entry is made by someone under the age of 18.
